1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of Trakido, a school transport management platform owned and operated by AD Tech ("AD Tech," "we," "us," "our"). Trakido is made available to schools ("School," "Institution"), authorized drivers ("Drivers"), and parents/guardians ("Parents," "Users") through the Parent Portal, School Portal, and associated mobile applications (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Who Can Use Trakido

  • Schools must register through an authorized AD Tech representative and provide accurate institutional details.
  • Drivers may only access the Driver App after being verified and authorized by a registered School.
  • Parents may only access the Parent Portal using credentials issued or approved by their child's School.

Trakido is a business-to-business-to-consumer platform — individual parents cannot self-register without their school's participation.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Schools are responsible for verifying the identity of Drivers before granting them access to route and student information.
  • You agree to notify AD Tech immediately at [Support Email] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information and to update it as needed.

4. Use of Location and Tracking Data

  • Trakido provides real-time GPS tracking of school transport vehicles for safety and operational purposes only.
  • Location data collected through the Services (vehicle location, route progress, pickup/drop timestamps) is used solely to power the tracking, alerting, and reporting features of the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Schools and Drivers agree not to use the Services to track any individual outside the scope of authorized school transport operations.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other users' accounts, or AD Tech's systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Trakido applications, including the Driver App APK.
  • Share login credentials with unauthorized individuals.
  • Upload false, misleading, or harmful information (e.g., false route or attendance data).
  • Use the Services to harass, harm, or endanger any student, driver, or staff member.

6. Driver App and APK Distribution

  • The Driver App is provided for use by Drivers authorized by a registered School.
  • Downloading the Driver App outside official channels (e.g., sideloading the APK) is done at the user's own risk; AD Tech is not responsible for issues arising from modified or unofficial versions of the app.
  • AD Tech may update, suspend, or discontinue the Driver App at any time, with reasonable notice to Schools where practical.

7. School Responsibilities

Schools using Trakido agree to:

  • Obtain any necessary parental consent required under applicable law before enrolling a student's transport information into the Services.
  • Ensure Drivers are properly licensed, background-checked, and authorized in accordance with local regulations, independent of AD Tech's role as a technology provider.
  • Promptly remove access for Drivers or staff who are no longer authorized.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, trademarks, logos, and content associated with Trakido and AD Tech are the property of AD Tech or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any AD Tech intellectual property; you receive only a limited, non-transferable license to use the Services as intended.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • AD Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Services.
  • AD Tech's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the fees paid by the relevant School to AD Tech in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct).
