1. Introduction

AD Tech ("we," "us," "our") operates Trakido, a school transport management platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Parent Portal, School Portal, and Driver App, how we use it, and the choices available to Schools, Parents, and Drivers.

Because Trakido processes location and safety information related to students who may be minors, we take particular care in how this data is collected, used, and protected. Where a School enrolls a student into Trakido, the School is responsible for obtaining any parental/guardian consent required under applicable law; AD Tech acts as a data processor on the School's behalf for student-related data unless otherwise agreed.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information provided directly to us:

  • Account details: name, email, phone number, role (Parent/Driver/School Admin).
  • School-provided student information necessary for transport tracking: student name, class/section, assigned route, pickup/drop location, and (where applicable) a linked parent/guardian contact.
  • Driver details: name, license/verification information provided by the School, assigned vehicle and route.

b) Information collected automatically:

  • Real-time and historical GPS location of the school transport vehicle during active trips.
  • Trip data: pickup/drop timestamps, route progress, delays, and alerts.
  • Device information: device type, operating system, app version, and general diagnostic/crash data.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, login timestamps (for security and product improvement).

c) Information we do not collect:

  • We do not track a student's location independently of the assigned school transport vehicle (i.e., we do not track a child's personal device location outside the transport context, unless a School-approved feature explicitly enables this and consent has been obtained).

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide live vehicle tracking, ETA estimates, and pickup/drop notifications to Parents and Schools.
  • Enable Drivers to navigate assigned routes and log trip status.
  • Send safety alerts (e.g., delays, route deviations, SOS notifications) to relevant Parents and School Administrators.
  • Generate attendance and transport reports for Schools.
  • Maintain account security, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the Services.
  • Communicate service updates, required notices, and (with consent, where required) product updates.

We do not sell student, parent, or driver personal data to third parties. We do not use student data for targeted advertising.

6. Data Retention

  • We retain student, parent, and driver data for as long as the associated School account remains active, or as required to provide the Services.
  • Upon a School's request to offload a student, driver, or the School's account, associated personal data will be deleted or anonymized within [Data Retention Period], except where retention is required for legal, safety, or audit purposes.

8. Children's Data

Trakido is used by Schools to track transport involving students who may be under the age of 18, including children under 13 in some cases. We rely on Schools to obtain any consent from parents/guardians required under applicable law (such as India's DPDP Act or similar regulations) before enrolling a student. AD Tech does not knowingly allow students to create their own accounts or interact directly with the Services — access is Parent- and School-mediated only.
